Our "Historic Artifacts" collection is inspired by dig sites, findings and artifacts that are exhibited in location and museums all around the world. This ivory casket is one of the four panels; carved in relief with the Judgement and Denial of St Peter: to the left, Pilate wearing a mantle is seated on a raised throne with high back, his hands over a basin into which an attendant pours water from a ewer; in the middle Christ carries his cross towards the right, urged forward by a soldier; to the right St Peter is seated on the ground before a brazier, above him on a bracket is a cock, and behind him the female servant pointing at him.
